External fixators considered the treatment of choice by many has disadvantages of bulky frames & frequent pin tract infection, mal union and non-union.

However, YI's intramedullary locking nail systems offer much more than just an alternative to plating. They take full advantage of the benefits of the closed technique which includes low blood loss, short operating time & low risk of infection.

In addition, as an elastic technique, callus formation is encouraged & early weight bearing is permitted.
